2019 Mentor Application |
On behalf of MACAC’s Committee on Inclusion, Access and Success, thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor! We have had very successful events from 2015-2018, and look forward to welcoming back great professionals to serve as mentors in 2019!
Over the past three years every Camp College Mentor has indicated they would recommend this experience to their colleagues. When asked what they enjoyed most about Camp College they responded:
“Having the opportunity to meet and get to know my mentees and have honest, candid, and personal conversations about the college search/application process. These conversations were more about the process, access to support services, and exploring majors/options/institutions, rather than recruitment related.”
“Getting to know all of the mentors and mentees. There were a lot of fun sessions and both days felt very relaxed (I liked not having to stick too much to a time schedule). “
“I think the small group settings that allowed us to begin building relationships with the students. It took little time to feel like we were all a part of something unique and special.
Attend June 6 training session and report to Camp College and stay through the duration of the program
